The Beginner’s Stitch Studio Term 1 2026

Want to pick up a new hobby? Join us in this beginner friendly sewing workshop where you will learn the foundations of a sewing machine, basic stiches, how to read and use patterns and more!
With each week covering a new topic, the group works to complete an agreed-on project by the end of the course. 
Sewing machine and tools provided (if preferred, you're welcome to bring your own).
Please bring your course work in each week so you can continue working on it.
BYO fabrics.

Week 1: Group to discuss what project they want to work on for the term + Understanding the sewing machines and sewing techniques.
Week 2: Reading and using patterns and fabric selections.
Week 3: Measuring, marking, and cutting.
Week 4: Hand sewing stitches.
Week 5: Zipper installation
Week 6: Finalising your projects
 
Date: Mondays, 2 February – 16 March 

No session on 9 March – Public Holiday

Time: 6:00pm – 8:00pm 
Cost: $90.00 (6 sessions)
