The Beginner’s Stitch Studio Term 2 2026

Want to pick up a new hobby? Join us in this beginner friendly sewing workshop where you will learn the foundations of a sewing machine, basic stiches, how to read and use patterns and more! With each week covering a new topic, you will leave wanting more! Sewing machine and tools provided. BYO fabrics.

Date:  Mondays,  20 April - 15 June
Time: 6:00pm – 8:00pm 

Cost: $120.00 (8 sessions)

  • Week 1: Understanding the sewing machines and sewing techniques.
  • Week 2: Reading and using patterns and fabric selections.
  • Week 3: Measuring, marking, and cutting.
  • Week 4: Hand sewing stitches.
  • Week 5 Zipper installation

Week 6: Making a simple project like a tote bag with a zip. TBC with tutor

The Hunt Club Community and Arts Centre has a great little Pottery Studio and offers a range of pottery programs including Handbuilding, Wheel Throwing, Ceramics Decoration Techniques, school holiday workshops for children and an Annual Workshop Program. For more info call 9249 4800.
