This introduction to Karate program fosters physical fitness, discipline, and social interaction within a safe and supportive environment. It provides an ideal opportunity to embark on a martial arts journey in a fun and engaging manner.

Suitable for children and young people aged 6-14 years, including beginners.

Our new format will follow a structured outline. In Term 4 2026, participants will learn:

Week 1: General basics and etiquette
Week 2: Stances, posture and movement
Week 3: Fist and hand techniques
Week 4: Kicks and body positioning
Week 5: Movement, distance and positioning
Weeks 6–7: Kata 1: Taikyoku Sono Ichi
Weeks 8–9: Kata 2: Taikyoku Sono Ni
Week 10: Review, demonstration, and celebration of participants’ progress. First stripe grading for eligible students with uniforms (additional costs apply).

Fridays 16 October - 18 December 2026 (10 weeks)
4pm - 5pm
Per child - $4 per session OR $40 per term

What to bring:
Wear comfortable clothing, socks and bring a drink bottle.
