English for Sewing

Join our English for Sewing class to build your language skills while you learn to sew.

In this course, you will:

  • Improve your English for everyday life and work
  • Learn sewing vocabulary and instructions in English
  • Practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing through hands-on sewing activities
  • Develop confidence to join community groups or move into further study and work.

Who can join?

  • Adults from migrant and refugee backgrounds
  • Beginners in English and/or sewing are welcome

Practise Your English

Weekly sessions at Brimbank Libraries for adults who speak English as a second language. Come along and practise your conversation and listening skills in a relaxed environment.

Deer Park:
Wednesdays, 1-2pm

St Albans:
Wednesdays, 5.30-6.30pm
